Link Telegram to receive alerts the moment your conditions are met.
Prerequisites
- An active ChartInspect Pro subscription
- A Telegram account
Alerts are a Pro feature. Free accounts get no alert slots on the web, and Telegram and Discord delivery are checked again at send time, so a lapsed subscription stops those channels even on alerts you created earlier.
Linking Your Telegram Account
Step 1: Generate a verification code
- Go to Settings > Telegram & Discord
- Under Alert Destinations, start the Telegram connection
- A verification code is generated for you
Step 2: Verify with the bot
- Open Telegram and go to @chartinspect_pro_bot
- Start a conversation with the bot
- Send /verify followed by the code, for example /verify 517390. The /verify part is required: the bot only reads commands, so sending the code on its own gets no reply at all. The Settings panel copies the whole command for you.
- The bot confirms the account is linked
Note this is not the same as t.me/chartinspect, which is the public community channel. Alerts only arrive from the bot.
Creating Alerts
There are three alert types:
- Price: on an asset's price
- Indicator: on a metric such as MVRV Z-Score or the unemployment rate
- Crossover: on one indicator crossing another
Conditions
Price alerts accept nine conditions: crossing, crossing up, crossing down, greater than, less than, moving up, moving down, moving up by a percent, and moving down by a percent. Indicator and crossover alerts accept five: crossing, crossing up, crossing down, greater than and less than.
From a chart
- Open the chart you want to watch
- Click the alert bell
- Set the condition and the threshold
- Choose delivery channels: in-app, email, mobile push, Telegram, Discord
- Save
From the Dashboard
- Open the Dashboard
- Click the bell icon in the top bar to open the Alerts panel (it can be docked to either side)
- Click Create Alert, pick the asset and condition, and save
A pulsing dot on the bell means one of your alerts has fired.
What You Can Alert On
Alerts are not limited to price and Bitcoin. Alertable metrics span network activity, valuation, cohort, market, momentum, technical, profitability, derivatives, supply, risk, exchange, ETF, flow and economic categories, and most economic indicators including DXY and interest rates support alerts.
Indicator alerts also support smoothing (SMA, EMA, DEMA, MM, SGF, HMA or median over 1 to 365 days), a USD or BTC denomination, and configurable rolling windows.
Limits and Timing
- 50 concurrent alerts on Pro. Active, paused and triggered alerts each take a slot; archived ones do not.
- Alerts are evaluated every 10 minutes, matching the upstream data refresh.
- Crossing and moving conditions enter a 1-hour cooldown after firing. Threshold conditions (greater than, less than) stay triggered while the condition holds and rearm automatically once it stops.
- Failed deliveries retry up to five times with backoff (1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours), tracked per channel.
Managing Alerts
Go to Settings > Alerts to see every alert, its status and its trigger history. Click an alert to edit its conditions or delivery channels, or archive it to free a slot.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving notifications?
- Confirm Telegram is linked at Settings > Telegram & Discord
- Confirm you have not blocked or muted @chartinspect_pro_bot
- Check the alert is still active rather than paused or archived
- Check Settings > Notifications, a disabled price-alert preference silences every outbound channel while still recording the in-app entry
- Confirm your Pro subscription is active
Bot not responding? Send /start to the bot again. If that does not help, unlink and relink from Settings.
Alert fired but the value looks different? Alerts are evaluated on a 10-minute cycle against the most recent published data point, which can differ slightly from what you see live.
