Welcome to ChartInspect. This guide covers account setup, the main areas of the platform, how to find a chart, and exactly what the free plan includes.
Creating Your Account
There are three ways to sign in, and they all land on the same account:
- Google sign-in
- Email and password
- Emailed sign-in link, a passwordless magic link that expires after 15 minutes
Pick one and stay with it. If you signed up with Google you will not have a ChartInspect password, so "Forgot password" does not apply to your account.
The Main Areas
Charts
Charts is the main library, 8,075+ chart series in total. Charts are grouped into categories including On-Chain Metrics, Crypto Market, Crypto Risk, Crypto Analysis, Derivatives, DeFi, Stocks, Social, Exhibits, and seven economic categories (Monetary Policy, Labor Market, Inflation & Prices, Economic Growth, Financial Markets, Consumer & Business, Recession Risk).
Dashboard
The Dashboard is a TradingView-powered workspace with live prices, drawing tools, an asset strip, an alerts panel, and a left sidebar of ChartInspect on-chain studies you can overlay on price. It is open to everyone, including visitors without an account. Individual Pro features inside it are locked separately.
Risk Dashboard
The Risk Dashboard combines four on-chain gauges with a price-by-risk view, a price timeline and a DCA allocation panel. It requires Pro.
Studio
Studio is a metric and strategy builder. Compose formulas from raw on-chain series, backtest a strategy, run a parameter optimizer, or describe what you want in plain English and let the AI builder assemble it. Free accounts can explore Studio with Bitcoin and non-Pro series; saving a chart requires Pro.
Inspect AI
Inspect AI answers questions against live ChartInspect data. Free accounts get 2 queries per day, Pro gets 50. On the free plan the assistant can only reach Bitcoin data, and it is subject to the same 30-day preview window described below.
Community
Community is a chart-native feed: posts built around live charts, collections, bookmarks, drafts, scheduled posts, tags and a verified-analyst leaderboard. Reading and posting are free; individual Pro posts are gated.
More
Curated exhibits are ChartInspect multi-chart stories, while the community exhibit gallery contains dashboards shared by members. Hyperliquid is a dedicated perps analytics page. Research, Changelog and API docs round out the platform, and there is a native mobile app.
Finding a Chart
Click the Search button in the top bar of any chart page, or press Ctrl/Cmd + Q. Search matches a chart's name, description and category, and it is typo-tolerant, so "soplr" still finds SOPR. The expanded panel adds category filter chips and a chain filter, and results include destination pages such as the Risk Dashboard and the Hyperliquid page.
Note that Ctrl/Cmd + K opens the AI assistant, not search. There is no platform-wide search shortcut.
Free vs Pro
This is the part people most often get backwards.
Free charts (275+ of them) are served in full, with complete history, to everyone.
Pro charts (7,775+) are not hidden from free users. You get the whole series except the most recent 30 days. You see the shape, the history and every past cycle; the last month is what Pro unlocks. One chart, Price By Risk Level, is the single exception and shows no preview at all.
Two Pro-quality charts are free in full, with no account at all: MVRV Z-Score and STH Cost Basis.
Pro additionally unlocks:
- On-chain data for every asset other than Bitcoin
- Sub-day (intraday) on-chain resolutions, from 10-minute up to 12-hour
- The Risk Dashboard and the Crypto Risk charts
- Alerts, chart data export, and the higher API tier
All economic and macro charts are free, with no Pro requirement.
Setting Up Alerts
Alerts require Pro. You can hold 50 at once, across three types (price, indicator and indicator crossover), and each one can deliver to five places: in-app, email, mobile push, Telegram and Discord.
- Open a chart, or open the alerts panel from the Dashboard's bell icon
- Click Create Alert
- Choose the asset, the condition and the threshold
- Pick your delivery channels
- Save
Manage everything later at Settings > Alerts.
