About DeFi Real Yield
Real yield is the annualized protocol revenue earned per dollar of value locked in DeFi: daily revenue scaled to a year, divided by total TVL. It answers how hard the capital sitting in DeFi is actually working, productive activity versus idle parked liquidity. Rising real yield means DeFi is generating more income relative to deposits; a high TVL with thin real yield suggests capital chasing incentives rather than productive use. The healthiest expansions grow both TVL and real yield together. Data from DeFi Llama, daily.
